I’m Onyxicca, creator of Emberosis.

I design tools, products, and writing for gamers, spoonies, and anyone whose body is set on hard mode. My work is shaped by my own experience with multiple chronic conditions, along with gaming, ritual, and the practical need for things that make difficult days feel more livable.

The writing side of this world lives at Between Battles, where I publish essays and the monthly Embers Between Battles newsletter.

Emberosis is an independent project with real upkeep behind it: the shop, product selection, design work, blog, newsletter, tools, and future releases all take time, care, and monthly costs to sustain. The Manifesto

Before matches, before lighters, people kept embers. At night, they could not simply let it burn. A fire left open would spend itself too quickly. It might blaze for a while, then leave nothing useful by morning. So they changed how the fire was kept. They lowered the flame. They gathered the embers, covered them in ash, and kept enough heat alive for morning. This was called banking a fire. It did not end the night. It did not remove the cold.
