Behind Emberosis
Who I Am
I'm Ember, a disabled gamer, artist and writer with a particular love for vampires, dark fantasy and gothic worlds.
Why games matter to me
I love games for the worlds they give us to explore, but also for what happens beyond the screen: curiosity, problem-solving, persistence, connection and joy. They've become especially meaningful to me as the physical world has become harder to access due to my disability and chronic illness.
What I Create
Play
Streams, videos and game coverage focused on the games and worlds I genuinely want to spend time in.
Write
Between Battles explores gaming, disability and building a meaningful life around the things that remain possible.
Make
Art, products, photography and other creative projects shaped by gaming, dark fantasy and the things I'm curious about.

Living
Disability, limited energy, adaptation and life on difficult settings.
Creating
Art, ideas, experiments and making things when energy allows.
Inside Emberosis
Read the philosophy behind Emberosis, then explore one of the creative practices growing from it.
The Emberosis Manifesto
A Declaration for the Banked Fire
“A fire does not have to burn at full intensity
to still be alive.”
Emberosis begins with the banked fire: a way of thinking about longevity, adaptation, real limits and the work of carrying a life forward without demanding that it burn at full intensity all the time.

Let's Work Together
If your game, product or campaign fits my work, send me the details and I'll take a look.
